WORCESTER, Mass. — Two juveniles were arrested and charged following separate police pursuits involving stolen vehicles on the morning of Jan. 12, 2026, according to authorities.
At approximately 10:20 a.m., officers attempted to stop two vehicles on Jones Street that failed to comply. Police said the operator of one vehicle drove into the opposite lane of traffic, causing another motorist to swerve to avoid a collision. That vehicle then traveled the wrong way down a one-way street before crashing into another vehicle, causing the suspect’s car to flip onto its side.
A 14-year-old male was taken into custody at the scene. He is charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop for a stop sign or red light twice, and operating the wrong way on a one-way street. Police reported that no serious injuries resulted from the crash.
The operator of the second vehicle fled onto Loxwood Street, where police said the driver entered a wooded area and then ran from the vehicle. Officers reported that the driver ran into oncoming traffic, nearly causing several crashes, before he was placed under arrest. Further investigation determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
The second suspect, a 15-year-old male, is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and use of a motor vehicle without authority.
Police did not release the identities of the juveniles due to their ages. No additional injuries were reported, and the incidents remain under investigation.
