Connecticut Sun Soar Past Dallas Wings 85-67

The Connecticut Sun were in Dallas to take on the Wings at the College Center on the Campus of the University of Texas-Arlington in Arlington, TX on Saturday afternoon. Connecticut still only had one loss on the season coming into this game.

The first and third quarter would prove strong for the team with the best record in the league as they outscored the Wings 27-17 and 25-13 respectively in those quarters en route to an 85-67 win.

The Sun also had a better shooting game than Dallas, shooting 44.8 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from three. Dallas shot 37.7 percent from the floor and an abysmal 3.7 percent from three.

Rachel Banham led the Sun with 16 points in the win, shooting 5 of 8 from the floor and a perfect 4 for 4 from the free throw line. She was one of four Sun players to score in double figures.

Connecticut will head back home for a game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
