WORCESTER, Mass. — Police say an undercover sting targeting people seeking sex with minors led to the arrest of a Massachusetts man who allegedly agreed to pay for sex with a 15 year old.
Investigators in Worcester say Jares J Paullis of Hudson was taken into custody Wednesday, March 13, 2026, during a coordinated operation focused on identifying individuals attempting to obtain commercial sexual services from children.
The operation was carried out by the Worcester Police Special Crimes Unit and Cyber Crime Unit in partnership with the Homeland Security Investigations Human Trafficking Unit out of Boston at a local hotel known to authorities.
According to police, Paullis communicated with and made arrangements to have sex with an alleged 15 year old minor in exchange for money.
Investigators say he invited the alleged 15 year old to engage in sex for a fee and agreed to pay $190.
Police say those actions led directly to his arrest.
Paullis is charged with trafficking of a person under 18 for sexual servitude, enticing a child under 16, and sexual conduct with a child under 18 for a fee.
Authorities say operations like this are designed to identify and arrest individuals attempting to exploit minors, using undercover tactics to intervene before any real child is harmed.
