Earlier this week the city of Worcester Board of Health voted to lift the mask mandate in public spaces in the city.
On Friday, the City Managers office sent out a statement that the Board of Health would need to vote again on lifting the mask mandate on February 18.
A new member of the Board of Health, former Worcester City Councilman Gary Rosen the City Managers office says “had not taken an oath of office prior to the board’s meeting on Feb. 7, which means he was not eligible to vote.”
The City Managers office says “the Board of Health will meet on Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. to vote again on a measure to lift the mask mandate in public spaces in the city.”
