A 6-hour standoff Saturday in Brewer, ME. ended with the arrest of 40-year old, Nicolas McDonald.
Police got a call about 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning that a female was being held hostage at 6 Washington St. and as Officers arrived they had to call in a tactical team and the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office also assisted.
The area around Washington Street was blocked off for several hours.
There was a female in the residence and she told police that she was not being held hostage.
