On Wednesday, Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo met with Uruguayan Foreign Minister Francisco Bustillo in Washington, D.C.
State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said, “Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Bustillo emphasized the shared democratic values underpinning our bilateral relationship, which spans more than 150 years, and our commitment to stand up for democracy and economic sovereignty across the hemisphere.”
“Secretary Pompeo and Foreign Minister Bustillo discussed expanding trade and security cooperation between the United States and Uruguay,” said Ortagus.
